Happy Birthday Jen!
Today is my sister-in-law's birthday and I did not have a picture of her that I could download so I thought that I would make a slideshow of some of our pictures from this weekend. Each picture has a caption on it but I can't get it to show up unless you put your curser on each picture (I'm still learning how to use it.
Jen we hope that you have a great birthday and we wish that we could be there to celebrate!

Oooopps...
You may have noticed that the links in our sidebar have disappeared. It's my fault. When Dawn put the slideshow on the blog, it forced the sidebar down to the bottom. In an attempt to fix it, I tried messing with the html and eventually just tried to reload our original template. In the midst of doing so, I lost all of the modifications we had made (which, for some reason, I wasn't bright enough to I realize would include our links). So be warned. If you change your template, save your links first (you'll notice my theology blog has a new look, but that was after I messed up this one...my links are still intact over there). Everything will be back up to par in a few days.
By the way, let us know in the comment section if the sidebar with the archives, links, and profile actually shows up in the sidebar or down on the bottom when you view our blog. When I open it in Explorer it's on the bottom, when I open it with Firefox, it's where it should be.

Little Stud
A trip to the park
Natalie and I took Noah and Allie to the park yesterday for some fun and fresh air. Needless to say Allie had more fun than Noah (since he slept the majority of the time). We did manage to get a picture of him with his eyes open once he woke up for his lunch :-)
Shannon-
I tried to add comments to the slide show but failed somehow. Is there a way to type a couple of sentences on the slide show? Help!!!!

The Birthday Boy (or should I say Man?)
Daddy knows best!
Nate has always been so good at finding out what calms Noah down and how to put him to seep. When he was first born Nate discovered that holding Noah's hands by his side and whispering "it's all right" did the trick. Now he has discovered that if you stroke his head and keep the pacifer in Noah's mouth he will soon give up the battle and fall asleep! Good thing for daddy's!
This can't be good :-)

Miracles Do Happen
Well, as hard as I have tried to stay away from the blogging world I have given in and Nate has taught me how to post pictures, comments, and even how to added friends and families blogs to our blog! I am not sure why I resisted the blogosphere(not sure I spelt that right); now that I have actually started I find myself on the computer looking at everyone's blogs and it is great to get caught up. I guess I should have listened to all my friends a year ago. :-) If anyone can explain how to use the slide show and how to post a video I would love to hear from you!

Constantly Changing
The title of this post reeks of senus plenior (fuller sense or play on words for those of you who may not be theology geeks). Yes, it could be describing our little man; as the pictures indicate, he's growing in leaps and bounds (if you don't believe me look in the July archive). Even more appropriately it could refer to the task of his mom and dad...that is, we're CONSTANTLY changing him...his diapers that is. I never realized that much...stuff (yes the three "p's"-pee, poop and puke)...could come out of such a little guy.
However, neither of these is the correct referent to the title of this post. I was actually referring to the blog. As you may have noticed, up until this point it's been little more than a storehouse of pictures. Dawn has been getting up to speed on the wonderful world of blogging only recently (something her husband has been addicted to for the last 6 mos or so). She's got the picture posting down pat and I'm planning on showing her how to post "text" as well; in fact, you'll notice that she's now listed as a "contributor" in the margin. Basically, that means you'll be able to tell whether the posts are done by her or me based on who's name's listed at the bottom (previously my name was always listed regardless of which one of us did it). Other changes include the addition of a link to my sister and brother in law's blog and the ability to now publish comments in the comment section under anonymous. This last change was for those of you who don't have a blog but still want to comment. Just make sure you remember to put you name on the comment so we know who you are! There should be more pictures soon and maybe a few anecdote's before long...
